Founded in 1998, the Interdisciplinary Microsystems Group (IMG) is a college-wide multi-departmental education and research program of the Herbert Wertheim College of Engineering at the University of Florida. IMG operates under the direction of 10 faculty members in
Electrical & Computer Engineering,
Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering, and
Materials Science & Engineering.
IMG research focuses on design, fabrication, characterization, and ultimately deployment of micro and nanosystems for a broad range of applications including internet of things (IoT), biomedical and healthcare, energy, security, aerospace, transportation, agriculture, electronics, photonics, nanotechnology, and quantum engineering. IMG is actively looking for talented students and postdoctoral researchers.
