RoboCup Nanogram - A Competitive Framework Driving Innovation in MEMS and Micro-Robotics. The RoboCup Nanogram competitions provide a forum for innovation in MEMS and micro-robotics by challenging teams of students and researchers to develop MEMS devices capable of untethered locomotion and manipulation of microscopic parts. Robots competing in the competition can be no larger than 300 micrometers in their largest dimension. The National Institute of Standards and Technology organized the first of these competitions at the 2007 RoboCup Championships in Atlanta. Registration is now open for the RoboCup Nanogram U.S. Open in Washington, DC which will be held in December.
