Dear Prospective Corporate Sponsors and Exhibitor of MEMS 2008,
As General Chairmen of the 21st IEEE International Conference on Micro Electro Mechanical Systems (MEMS 2008), we would like to formally invite you to participate as a member of the Industrial Support Group and/or as an Exhibitor. The Conference will be held at the JW Marriott Starr Pass Resort & Spa
Tucson, Arizona USA, January 13 - 17, 2008. We anticipate over 700 academic and private research scientists from around the world to attend.
The IEEE/Robotic and Automation Society Conference on Micro Electro Mechanical Systems is the authoritative meeting focused on interdisciplinary research topics on micro electro mechanical devices and systems fabricated on the micrometer to millimeter scale. In 2007, the Conference was held in Kobe, JAPAN, with over 660 attendees and 37 financial contributors and exhibitors. Keeping with the tradition of past MEMS Conferences, we would like to exceed that goal at the upcoming conference in Tucson. The MEMS 2008 Conference is totally self-supporting and relies on contributions and tuition to off-set all expenses. The goal of the Industrial Support Group is to assist in keeping the tuition rate as low as possible, which should enhance the potential number of participants being able to attend.
There are various levels of involvement to participate as a member of the Industrial Support Group (ISG Member). Please review the attached for the levels of participation and corresponding benefits. Parallel to the Technical Program is an exhibit area displaying products and services relevant to researchers in the MEMS field, i.e. vendors of books and journals, processing equipment, test equipment, or CAD tools, or MEMS processing, design, and/or test services. If your company is not interested in becoming a sponsor, it might be interested in becoming an exhibitor at this conference. Please review the attached information for the exhibitor information and application.
Members of the Industrial Support Group are also expected to be Ambassadors for the MEMS 2008 Conference by helping to promote it within their organization. This may include, for example, informing groups working on MEMS related projects of the conference and its standing within the international MEMS research community; posting information about abstract submission and registration deadlines; providing feedback to the conference organizers about technical and administrative arrangements; etc. As stated above, the MEMS Conference attracts leaders in MEMS by offering a top quality, single session technical program of the current state-of-the-art papers combined with networking opportunities. This is a great opportunity for your company to be involved with this conference as well as a great opportunity to show the rest of world what your company is doing in MEMS.
We are looking forward to another successful conference in 2008 and hope that your company will seriously consider participating as an Industrial Support Group Member and/or Exhibitor.
We look forward to seeing you in 2008 in Tucson, Arizona.
