Our Molecular Vapor Deposition (MVD) equipment family can apply various vapor coatings where the critical control of surface properties are required. Stiction which is the most common failure mode in MEMS devices can be eliminated with an MVD organic monolayer. BioMEMS requiring tunable surface properties for wetting or surface modification can be created with our MVD process on many different type of materials. Special hydrophilic biocompatible surface coatings can also be applied to a variety of plastics and materials used in life sciences.
