Belfast is compact so getting around the city is easy on foot or by taxi. There are also public transportation options including a Metro rail system and bus routes.

By Air

George Best Belfast City Airport
The airport is situated just three miles from Belfast City Centre. Please check www.belfastcityairport.com for flight information.

For connections from Britain and Europe Aer Lingus and FlyBE offer direct routes to many major airports.

The Airport Express 600 bus service currently runs from the airport terminal to the city center every 30 minutes (05:45 - 21:25) Monday to Saturday. Please check www.translink.co.uk for services on Sundays. The cost one-way is £2.50, round-trip is £3.80.

Belfast International Airport
Belfast International Airport is 30 minutes drive via the M2 Motorway. Please check www.belfastairport.com for flight information.

The Airport Express 300 service currently operates between the airport and Belfast City Center every 15 minutes Monday to Friday at peak times. This service operates 24 hours a day however night services are less frequent. Please check www.translink.co.uk for services during off peak times and weekends. The cost one-way is £7.50, round-trip is £10.50.

Taxis
Taxis are available outside the terminal at George Best Belfast City Airport. The current fare from George Best Belfast City Airport is around £10 to most locations in the city center. It is approximately £30 to the city center from Belfast International Airport. It is not compulsory to tip your taxi driver, but it is generally considered polite to do so -- around 10% of the fare.

Public Transport
Translink is Northern Ireland's integrated bus and rail public transport company and is responsible for Metro, Ulsterbus and NI Railways. It operates a comprehensive network of bus and rail services throughout Northern Ireland and on cross border routes. Visitors can take advantage of the Belfast Visitor Pass - an integrated Translink smartcard providing unlimited bus and rail travel for 1, 2 or 3 consecutive days within the Belfast Visitor Pass Zone. The cost of a one-day pass is £6.50 up to £14.50 for a three-day adult pass. www.translink.co.uk
